A History of Dedication to the Greater Philadelphia Region
For more than 25 years, Health Partners has worked to make a difference in the health of our community. We are a nonprofit managed care health insurance organization owned by some of the area’s leading hospitals:
- Albert Einstein Medical Center

- Episcopal Hospital
- Hahnemann University Hospital
- St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children
- Temple University Hospital
Health Partners’ participating providers care for members in Philadelphia, Chester, Delaware, Bucks and Montgomery counties. Our members enjoy the choice of more than 4,400 primary care and specialist doctors. In addition, our provider network includes more than 30 area hospitals and hundreds of dentists, eye doctors, pharmacies and other healthcare providers.

Our Health Plans
Health Partners offers comprehensive health care through two high-quality health insurance plans:
- Health Partners, a HealthChoices Medicaid plan, consistently ranks number one in the area for member satisfaction in an annual consumer survey, and was the first plan in the nation to receive the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) Multicultural Health Care Distinction.
- KidzPartners, a Pennsylvania Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) plan, provides coverage for children up to age 19 who are uninsured and not eligible for Medicaid. No family makes too much money for CHIP. For most families, CHIP is free -- for others, low cost.

What Makes Us Unique
Health Partners and KidzPartners are locally based, right here in Philadelphia. We are especially proud of our community connection—when you see our colorful RV, you know Health Partners and some of our 500 employees are in your neighborhood!
With our focus on preventive care, you’ll see us a lot: providing no-cost health screenings, participating in community events, and hosting special events like concerts and family health awareness days. We even offer a convenient community office in the Kensington neighborhood with no-cost computer training classes. It’s all about providing value and service for our members and the communities where they live.
In addition, Health Partners employees in 1999 founded the Health Partners Foundation. A nonprofit organization significantly funded by employees as well as vendors and friends of Health Partners, the Foundation supports low-income communities in Philadelphia and surrounding counties with educational programs scholarships and emergency assistance.
